Hi @eternalshad0wz
Could you please post your site URL here so that we can have a look? Jetpack does still connect through XMLRPC, but there is also an “alternate” endpoint we sometimes can use to connect.
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.
Thanks!

All 4 of my blogs and jetpack isn’t connected to any of them anymore. I even did the uninstall, removed the files, reinstalled, tried to reconnect, and it won’t.
On a totally separate domain account I have jetpacked installed, but get this with the file.

Hi @eternalshad0wz –
On the first 5 sites (at *.saddesignz.org) we’re getting the error:
http_request_failed cURL error 52: Empty reply from server
This often means that something is blocking our connection to the xmlrpc.php
file. I’d suggest checking if you have any security plugins activated that might be blocking our requests. If not, try contacting your hosting provider and asking them to check their security logs to see if they are blocking or otherwise limiting incoming and outgoing connections over XML-RPC.
Jetpack uses this file to communicate with your site, but some hosts block connection requests to that file.
Our requests look like the following:
- File: /xmlrpc.php
- User-agent header: Jetpack by WordPress.com
- IPs: https://jetpack.com/support/how-to-add-jetpack-ips-allowlist/
Please ask them to allowlist the IP addresses listed above. Note that these IP addresses could change (or more could be added) at any time, which could break your connection to Jetpack. For this reason, we actually discourage allowing specific IPs, although with some hosts it may be the only option.
I would encourage you to ask them to enable xmlrpc.php
for your sites. By allowing connections only from specific addresses, it doesn’t introduce any security risks.
For Insanityasylum.org, we’re able to connect using an alternative method. Unfortunately, that appears to be blocked on your other sites.

It worked up until WordPress updated, and my hosting is not blocking anything. So no, and they will continue to keep sending me that link saying that the xmlrpc is outdated and not being blocked by them. Good day!
Hi @eternalshad0wz –
Unfortunately, since they don’t allow access to xmlrpc.php
, Jetpack won’t be able to work on your sites.
I’m going to mark this thread as resolved for now. If you would like to work on this issue in the future, feel free to open a new thread.
