xmlrpc newPost locale problem

Hi

I am posting ok either using metaWeblog.newPost or wp.newPost.
The problem is that because Title and Content are in Greek the post has not Greek letters but something else no one can understand.
It is like conversion from xml to utf-8 failed.
the xml looks like this
<name>description</name><value> Áðü áíáìì
any help?
