XMLRPC: (hidden) custom fields starting with a _ underscore

  • Hey
I have troubles inserting something like “_check_me” as a custom field via a xmlrpc call. I’m using wp.newPost and inserting a “normal” custom fiels (ie without the leading _) is working all fine. Trouble starts when inserting a custom fields with the leading underscore: it just fails silently.

I’m trying to generate orders programmatically inside woo commerce, and I have therefore a large list of custom fields to authorise; I read across the forum a couple of solutions but despite my efforts, I still haven’t manage to make that work.

    For example:
The class at the bottom of this is not producing any results for me; i’m not perfectly sure i’m using it the right way…

Could you help? or point me the right article i could start with?
    Thanks!

    EDIT:
testing to create a post with the “_customfields” seems to be working fine; troubles is with woo commerce’s custom post type ‘shop_order’ …
