# XML Question

 * I thought I had assigned the admin posts to another user before deleting, but
   it seems I’ve screwed up my db. Lost all posts.
    Fortunately, I had a backup 
   of old posts. I thought I’d just open in a text editor and paste my missing-in-
   action posts back into my current xml export, and restore.
 * The tables look the same, but the backup posts from version 2.6 or 2.7 looks 
   different than the lines in version 2.7.1.
 * In old backup (2.6 or 7) , every line began
    “INSERT INTO `wp_posts` VALUES(111,
   1,…” While the current export shows the “INSERT INTO…” text along the top, and
   then each line begins with “(111,1)…” the post number and user I’m assuming.
 * Can I restore my lost posts by following the current format (2.7.1 export) and
   move all admin posts over (changing the id# of course), or is my plot doomed 
   to failure?
