XML Parsing Error

    Hi you all,

    When testing our XML sitemap (generated by YOAST SEO for Google Webmaster Tools) the following error occurred:

    XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
    Location: http://www.martialarts-pro.nl/sitemap_index.xml
    Line Number 2, Column 1:<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?><?xml-stylesheet type=”text/xsl” href=”//www.martialarts-pro.nl/main-sitemap.xsl”?>

    We found out that a plugin or the theme we are using (Avada) is outputting a whitespace. But unfortunately we can’t find out which plugin or file is causing the problem.

    We deactivated all the plugins we are using one by one and tested the sitemap again without any result.

    Does anyone have any tips how to detect which plugin or file is causing the problem and how to fix it?

    Or maybe some other tips to resolve the problem?

    Have you tried: switching to the default 2015 theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
