Hello @cbennett91,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you’re experiencing some issues with Google Merchant Center not fetching all the products from your feed, due to an XML formatting error. Let’s get that sorted for you.
- Could you please share the XML URL that you’ve submitted to Google Merchant Center?
- Also, if you could share one or a few of the affected product IDs, that would be helpful.
Additionally, you might want to check if HTML characters are included in your product descriptions. To remove those:
- Go to your feed manager and find the “description” attributes row.
- Click on the “edit values” link on the right side.
- Choose “html entity decode” from the dropdown menu.
After making these changes, please regenerate your feed and check to see if the error is resolved in Google Merchant Center.
Hi @cbennett91,
I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to follow up and see if you had a chance to review my previous response regarding your query. Were you able to resolve the issue? I haven’t heard back from you yet.
Should you need any further assistance or have additional questions, please feel free to contact me. I will be closing this support thread for the time being, but you’re more than welcome to reopen it if you require more support.
Hi
Sorry for the delay, the issue seem to have rectified itself, thank you though. I will try the suggestions you gave if it happens again in the future or if not provide you with the details you need to help
thanks
Hi Sorry an issue has reared its head again with the XML formatting which is again causing only half our products to fetch to google merchant centre for our shopping feed.
When viewing the xml it has an error at the top: error on line 47216 at column 8: Premature end of data in tag channel line 3
Please could you point me in the right direction to rectify the issue?

Hello @cbennett91,
Thank you for contacting us.
I followed the link and at this moment the feed opens without any issue. Did it solve by itself or did you found the issue in one of your products?
Hi
Is it because I’m logged in to the backend of our site I can see the error and you cant? If I follow the link on incognito the error doesn’t show up
I can imagine that you have an old cached version you are looking at.
Try CntrL + F5 removing the browser cache.
Hi
It appears to have randomly rectified itself again
He @cbennett91,
That is good news! I alway’s love it when issues solve them selves π
Do not hesitate to contact us when you run in to anything else.
