XML Formatting Error

I have just uploaded Feed via the alternative method.
However When I ‘Fetch Now’ I get
‘XML formatting error’ but it doesn’t tell me what the error is.
When I go to the feed url it says‘error on line 2 at column 3555: xmlParseEntityRef: no name’
No idea what this means

I understand. Can you provide me the feed link and screenshots to the feed configurations?
Basically, edit the feed you created. There, on the right side, right-click on ‘View feed,’ copy the link, and give it me.
Next scroll down to the feed configurations section and take screenshots of the attribute fields you used. (see image)
Once you give them, I can let you know what might have caused the error.

Hi @maureenpage , for Google product category, how did you store the value? Did you use the Category mapping feature from our plugin, did you use any custom field, or was it an attribute?

Hi, let me explain what you need to do with an example.
Let’s say you want to use the category “Health & Beauty > Personal Care > Cosmetics > Skin Care > Lip Balms & Treatments”.
So on the field, write Lip balms & Treatments, then suggestions will come. Choose the appropriate one from the suggestions.
In this case, choose
482 – Health & Beauty > Personal Care > Cosmetics > Skin Care > Lip Balms & TreatmentsYou see, the code is what is required for Google Product Category in our plugin. So select the one with the code and it should remove the error.
Do the same for the rest of the categories and save the mapping.
Then update the feed.

I have put in all the codes and updated Category Map and then Updated Feed
I still get this error:“Feed not sent to google. Please check.

Hi, I believe you got this error when you clicked on Send to Google.
This is a possible error from Google API.
In this case, it’s best to use the reverse method to set the Google Auto-sync.

Created another using the reverse method.

Hi, don’t worry. It will not be a problem.
On Google Merchant Center, do not delete the feed. Let me help you out. Go to the Products tab, and let me know how many products you have there.
Basically, you have to delete the products that were marked duplicate and wait for an hour. Then you can go to the merchant center and check if the Products tab no longer has those products listed.
If they are gone, then go to the Feed and click on Fetch now. Then the products will be accepted.

I have 33 Products listed in the Merchant Centre. That is the correct number I don’t seem to have any Duplicates.21 are Pending
8 are Active
4 are Disapproved or invalid

Yes, so to apply the updated feed,
-you have to delete them from the Products tab,
-wait for an hour until Google unlists them completely
-then go to the Feed tab and click on fetch feed.That should pull the updated data from the feed file.
So I delete all of them including Active
If they are the same products as in the feed, then yes.
