xlsx import : date format broken

    Hi,

    xlsx import used to work correctly with date formats specified into Excel cells. It doesn’t anymore.

    My files consisted of a column with excel date format “Short date” in a French version of Excel: Tablepress imported eg “28/02/2025” as “28/02/2025” (my last successfull attempt was 3 months ago). Today it imports this as “02/28/2025”.

    I do precise that I have the latest versions of WordPress and Tablepres and that I haven’t changed their configuration in the meantime.

    Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!

    Hmm, from what I recall, there was no change in the import here, and actually the Excel import always imported the English format…

    Can you therefore please try saving the Excel table to the CSV format, and then import the .csv file into TablePress? This should get you the original date format.

    yes, changing the format to “Text” in Excel could indeed be worth a try as well!
