xhtml validation problem

  • Hi, I just did a fresh install and clicked on the xhtml validator and was given the following error:
“Line 87, column 8: end tag for “ul” which is not finished

Most likely, You nested tags and closed them in the wrong order. For example ... is not acceptable, as must be closed before . Acceptable nesting is: ...
Another possibility is that you used an element (e.g. 'ul') which requires a child element (e.g. 'li') that you did not include. Hence the parent element is “not finished”, not complete.”
I think the problem area is near the

    <li id="categories"><?php _e('Categories:'); ?>

section and all the nested lists…
I have allready set this up and fit it to the web sites look and feel in the past and went through a lot of validation efforts and finally got it to validate, so when I just did a fresh install and made no changes to the install, I decided to see if it would validate and that is when I got the above errror.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • Kind of strange, I have not changed a thing, and yesterday I was getting that validation error, today, it validates. All I did was leave my computer and go out with a freind for a beer… a solution I am going to opt for a lot more often now!
    Thanks
