XHTML 1.1 incompatibility

  • 1 The function permalink_anchor() displays an anchor tag with a name attribute, but the name attribute has been removed in XHTML 1.1, and replaced with the id attribute.
2 The function comments_popup_script() uses the language attribute in its script tag, but the language attribute too has been removed in the XHTML 1.1 specification.
I don’t actually use these function :D, but it is a little something. I hope it gets fixed.
    Thanks.

  • The name in permalink_anchor is left for backward compatibility, and it’s not used by default. comments_popup_script isn’t used by default either, but the langauge attribute isn’t required and has been removed in the CVS. Thanks!
