After installing xampp I attempted to create a test website. I modified the wp-sample configuration file and saved as wp-config.php then attempted to enter http://localhost followed by my test website. ~I got a message asking for username password and database name that I entered without any mistakes but it kept rejecting as wrong information. What am I doing wrong.

  • Hello @vrasalingam

It would be helpful if you can share more details.
otherwise you can recheck the DB username and password.
for example – DBname -> name of your DB Username -> ‘root’ password -> ”.

    Thanks
