Wrong User Level Restriction Messages

    Hey, thank you for this amazing plugin.

    I have an issue with the User Level Restriction Messages you can set up in the Plugin Settings:
    It says e.g.: “Message displayed when a user does not have permission to view Adminstrator restricted content”, but this only applies if the user is not logged in.
    So if a “not logged in” user opens a page restricted to admin, he sees the “admin message”. If he views a page restricted to contributor, he sees the “contributor message”.

    HOWEVER:
    if a logged in contributor views these pages, he can read the page content to all pages his own userlevel and below. On all userlevels above his own, he sees the contributor message everytime. But not the message corresponding to the restriction level of the page.

    Should he also read e.g. the “admin message” when trying to access a page restricted to admin?

    This just occurs when using the “restrict this content” panel. Using the [restrict] Code always displays the “Restricted Message” in the settings, regardless of [restrict userlevel=”…”]. But this is intended, I think 😉

    The post is way too long 😀
    I try to put it simpler:

    When i access a restricted page, the message shown is not corresponding to the user level set in the post meta, but my own user level.

    A contributor always sees the “contributor message” when accessing content beyond his access level,
    instead of seeing the “admin message” when accessing admin restricted content or the “author message” when accessing author restricted content.

    Hi there,

    That’s actually by design. The “Contributor Message” means the message shown to users that do not have access to view content restricted to contributors.
