    Hello @andreu ,

Thanks for providing us information about the store location.

It sounds like your tax nexus is in California, but you have some customers making purchases from Texas.
The plugin works for simple scenarios where a store has a physical presence only in one state. For more complex scenarios where you need to collect taxes even outside of your state, we recommend other plugins. TaxJar or Avalara might work better in this case, once they’re configured with multiple nexuses.

Thanks, have a great rest of your day!

    Hi,

I though your plugin was using TaxJar to make the calculation.
So you mean that the only way we have to make a proper calculation of the taxes for our shop is to use TaxJar instead of your plugin?

    Thanks

    Hi @andreu,

Our plugin indeed uses TaxJar to make the tax calculation at checkout.
However, the TaxJar plugin lets you configure your personal TaxJar account within the plugin. By using your own Taxjar account, you can then configure different nexus addresses in your TaxJar account settings, by going into Account > State nexus settings: https://app.taxjar.com/account#states

Configuring different nexus addresses is not possible through our plugin. We can only assume your store’s address (configured in your WooCommerce settings) is your nexus.

I hope this helps explain the differences!

    Francesco
