Working on a web site and created a custom post type with CPT UI titled “Builds.” Working great until I added two new categories to the CPT. The two new categories are “Trikes” and “Custom.” These categories display the proper content, however, the sidebar widgets show up like the default blog sidebar and not the sidebar content I have set up for the new post type.

Is there a rebuild function I can run or something to fix this?

Hi @200megaton

We don’t have any functionality that would affect the theme/template display, so we don’t have a “rebuild” function.

My biggest question would be if both permalinks are using the same archive template file, and if yes, if there’s any logic in the file that dictates different behavior for the sidebar. Not something I can answer myself, without getting file content feedback from you.

Sorry, I am an idiot. I create the custom sidebar widget area with the WooSidebars plugin and forgot. I’ve got it fixed now. Sorry to waste your time.
