Support » Plugin: Easy Table of Contents » Wrong position of TOC after update

  • Resolved michaelxxx

    I use the Plugin WP AMP the exclude some content from the AMP version.

    For example:

    [x_custom_headline type=”left” level=”h2″]HEADLINE[/x_custom_headline]
    Do not show this part on AMP pages

    When I now add the shortcode [noamp] in my posts, the TOC is no longer shown above the first headline as usual, but at the place where I integrated the [noamp] code.

    This happend since one of the last updates of TOC.

    This actually sounds correct, where a bug in an old version was actually not properly finding all headings. To properly support various page builders, ezTOC had to be better at finding headings. Now it seems it is correctly finding the heading that was being “hidden” by the [x_custom_headline] shortcode.

    Use the Code Snippets plugin to add the following code as a new Code Snippet

    	function( $tags_to_remove ) {
    		$shortcodes = array (
    		$tags_to_remove = array_merge( $tags_to_remove, $shortcodes );
    		return $tags_to_remove;

    After you add and activate the snippet, the heading shortcode will no longer be processed which will exclude the heading from edibility

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Steven,

    Just to be clear: this bug happens since the verion 2.0.3. So it´s not a bug of an old version.

    I have now downgraded back to version 2.0.2. – and everything is fine.

    So there must be a change or bug in 2.0.3.

    Please try version 2.0.4. Thanks!
