# Wrong PHP version

 * I tried to upgrade my blog to 3.2.1 and after getting through all the steps, 
   just before upgrading my database, I received a window that told me “Your server
   is running PHP version 4.4.9 but WordPress 3.2.1 requires at least 5.2.4.”
 * So I stopped the upgrade and assumed it would stay with the 3.0.4 version.
 * However,no the blog shows only that info. “Your server is running PHP version
   4.4.9 but WordPress 3.2.1 requires at least 5.2.4.”
 * I am unable to go to the dashboard or go to the blog itself via a browser.
 * Does anyone know how I can fix this, besides my host upgrading their PHP to 5.2.4.
   They probably will eventually do that, but it will take weeks if not months, 
   they aren’t going to upgrade it just because I ask them too.

 * Depends who your host is, but yes, most will update your server if you ask them.
   They will simply move you to a new one. This is usually done within 12 hours.
   I had to ask two of them to do just that this week.
 * Otherwise, what you can do is download a copy of WP 3.0.4 and manually re-install
   that version via FTP.
