  • Great plugin – but there’s an issue with Permalinks.

When you have WP-Facebook enabled, every new slide is published to your Facebook page as intended.

But if you click on the posted slide in Facebook, it returns a 404 error back on your site as the Permalink isn’t valid. For example:

    http://zenstrategy.net/?slide=eevee-box-office

I’ve tried to both point to another URL (that works fine on my site) but doesn’t fix the Facebook referral issue.

Its not the Facebook plugin as posts are working just fine.

    Any ideas?

  • Any chance of looking at this issue?

My site uses Meteor Slides to show my web portfolio. I also have a Facebook page, so I use the WP-Facebook plugin to publish simultaneously to my Facebook page from by website.

This publishes posts and also any slides I show on my site.

Facebook sends people to the right posts, but every new slide is published with the wrong URL – clicking the slide link on Facebook generates a 404 error.

Hi, aside from being published in the slideshow, the slides aren’t really a public post type and aren’t meant to be linked to individually. The Facebook plugin should only share blog posts, I would try to get it to exclude the slides post type, or try a different Facebook plugin that only shared the “post” post type.
