    Hi,

We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO Premium, v12.6.2? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.3? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    Hi 🙂
    Thanks for your answer.
    1. is not a premium version, but still 12.6.2
    2. yes is 5.3
    3. some of them are not (and can’t update)

fyi: in fresh installation I got no problems
I’ll just hode the message 🙂
    Thanks!

We have an open bug report regarding this issue and from our investigation the warning incorrectly appears for some users. It doesn’t break anything so you can safely ignore the message until we fix it.

If you would like to fix it before we release an update, these options are available:

    • Deactivate and activate the plugin (unverified, some people claimed this fixed the issue)
    • Downgrade to Yoast 12.4 and visit the notification center (while on WP 5.3). This should remove the notification. Then upgrade to the current version again.
    • Remove the notification from the database (if you know what you’re doing).
