• I am building an intranet site in windows.
Are planning to use FA as my file manager.
But when I try to upload a file the saved file are saved in a “wrong” folder in windows system.

    Example:
I try to save a file to a “base directory 1” called docs. This are setup in FA configuration as: C:\Data\Intra/Docs
But when the file are uploaded it is save to: C:\DataIntra\Docs
And then the file are not visible.

What could be wrong here ?

    Thanks,

  • Its the base directory that has a wrong path. There should be a / in between the 2 maps which isn’t there and you can’t change it! When you upload a file it sends it to a wrong map.

This is getting pretty annoying because you can’t change it yourself unless you hack the serverfile and put the path in there yourself. Future updates tho will kill this change!

I hope they fix this asap.. People in my organisation are working on projects with this and since it’s not working people are saving files everywhere….

Somebody didn’t read the support forum history or the FAQ or the plugin requirements.

If it’s a windows server, you’re going to have issues with [fileup] unless you make some changes to your sourcecode. I say on the FAQ and the Plugin Requirements that File Up isn’t fully compatible with Windows servers/xampp/etc.

See this thread for the adjustments you need to make to File Up work with Windows server: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/upload-problems-14/
