    It sounds like you just have to clear your cache.

    In the supercache plugin, I have cleared the cache but the old file continues to be served. Do theme caches require a special process to clear?

    Edit: Also flushed the cache from cPanel but the old file (where the heck is it saved!) continues to exist at styles.css?ver=2.3.1

    The question mark bit doesn’t usually matter, but it seems your theme is coded in a way that it does. Have you talked to your theme authors about this?

    The parent theme is Divi. The child theme is my own but was only customized ascetically. Attempting to add a few lines of css in the editor. It really is behaving strangely. Any version request other than 2.3.1 returns the updated file. There is no ver=2.3.1 saved in the file structure (viewed from cPanel).
