    Hi there,

Unfortunately I have a problem with the email confirmations that are sent from Woocommerce to my customers, because there is always a name of a certain other customer.
After a purchase from december 2019 the customer’s first name has somehow been stored so that my other buyers are always addressed with this first name in their order confirmation email. Deleting the old order in the backend did not help either.
I was approached by some customers and tested it myself several times. To make sure that no caching plugin caused this error, I of course also deactivated it and tested it again. I have already spoken to my host and it has confirmed to me that it cannot be due to server caching.

Where can I change that issue?
Can you help me to fix?

    Kind regards
    Marc

    Hi there Marc,

That is certainly some strange behavior! Just to confirm, it’s only the first name that appears in every email, but all the other fields are correct in each email?

Was everything working as expected prior to December 2019? Or was the site launched in December 2019, and this issue has been occurring since then?

Checking for caching was definitely a good first step there.

Since that did not resolve the issue, the next step I would recommend would be conflict testing on the site. To check for conflicts, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, then check to see if the issue is fixed. If it is, then you can switch your theme back and reactivate plugins one-by-one until you find the one that is causing the issue.

You can read about testing for conflicts in our documentation here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

To avoid affecting your customers, you may want to do this on a test/staging site. If you don’t have one already, your hosting company might offer one as part of your package. Alternatively, you can use a free plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/
