    Hello!

I’ve noticed that when i am running “generate thumbs” action on my 720×480 (aspect: 1.896) media .mp4 files (inside media library) , Video pack produces 720×480 thumbs, but with aspect ratio 1:1.
So in final result i got narrowed thumbs.

    How to fix that?

    Thanks!

    Sorry, i meant:

in my media library i have 720×480 (aspect = 16:9) .mp4 files which during playback looks great (no aspect problems), but when i am converting them to thumbnails, as a result i am getting 720x480px (slightly narrowed thumbs). How to make thumbs to look 1:1 as source video .mp4 files?

I didn’t realize anyone still used non-square pixels. Video players check for that and stretch it out the right way but I haven’t been checking during the thumbnail generating process. I’ll see what I can come up with.

Kyle thanks for quick reply, waiting for info!

    FYI:
Another interesting thing is if i am going to
Videopack Settings > General > Video Dimensions -> and setting default width = 720 and height = 405
Then going to single Video item and pressing “Generate Thumb” , then Thumb appears with those dimensions.

I released v4.8.7 yesterday, which should solve this problem for thumbnails generated from videos with non-square pixels using FFMPEG.
