Writing comments: What user level access is needed?

    I have studied

    but it seems that a user level 0 cannot even add a comment. All others allow the user much more access than I am comfortable giving.

    As I understand, I can force people to get a login to add comments, but it is not clear what access I need to give people *just* to allow them to write comments.

    Unless you change something, WP allows anyone to comment on any post. Logging in and user levels do not apply.
