Ok, when i first started using wordpress, when i would go to write post, there would be two tabs, one called visual, and one called code..and u can swap back and forth between the two…just today i noticed that the visual tab, or both tabs for that matter, are gone, and it is defaulted to the code screen with no option to get back. Could it be a plugin i installed…i only have a polls plugin going on right now. Please help.

Have you tried a hard refresh of the page? Ctrl-Shift-r (Firefox), Ctrl-F5 (Internet Explorer).

Personally, I’d try going to Users -> Your Profile and making sure the box to use the Visual Rich Editor (top of the screen in 2.1) is checked.

Woo Hoooooooooo…..Thanks HandySolo, that did it!

I dont know how it ever got unchecked but that was the problem. A thousand thank you’s.

I know its weak that getting that back makes me that happy, but I am just a beginner. Having to use the code tab for the last day actually made me learn a lot, so I might use them both now.

    Thanks again.

Glad to help, hmnikatz. It seems you’re not the first to have that unchecked without realizing it. Kinda weird, but at least it is an easy fix. 🙂
