Write post – inserting `<p>` tags.

  • I’m finding that when ever I write a post, lots of “extra” <p> tags seem to get inserted, even when I’ve specifically put in <br />

I’ve just upgraded to 2.0, not yet to 2.0.1 (having read the comments that some have made, I’m leaving it till a time that I’m reasonably sure I’ll have the time just in case!

Is that the template I’m using, the new posting window, or what?

  • The graphical (WYSIWYG) editor inserts a paragraph everytime you hit enter in the edit field. If you want to have only a linebreak, use shift-enter. You shouldn’t use <br /> tag manually.

Or use the old editor (set it in your user profile).

    Thanks!

In an attempt to stop the paragraph tags I was manually putting in breaks! Clearly that was confusing it.
