 * probably a really simple explanation and me being dumb but for some reason when
   i go to write a new post it only gives me the html editing settings instead of
   the standard editing settings how can i change it back.

 * In your Dashboard click the my profile link in the top right then check the box
   that says use visual editor.

 * yea i’ve tried that still not working any other ideas?????. It just all of a 
   sudden stopped working.

 * ok seemed to be a browser problem wasnt working in firefox works fine in I.E.
