Support » Fixing WordPress » Wrapping Text Around Shortcode Elements – How?

  • I read the earlier question on this same issue and the topic was closed without giving a solution. Are we able to wrap text around a shortcode element or not? I’m using the Slideshow plugin which works find, but I need to wrap the text around the shortcode that was installed into the page. If CSS is the way to wrap the text, what CSS syntax will work on a shortcode element? I tried using the Image wrapping CSS code on the shortcode element and it did not work! If someone has a solution on how to do this within a page/ post, please share a CSS code example with us.

  • Generally, you should be able to do that by using <div> tags for the two parts of the page – and assigning CSS to the divs – something like:

    <div class="myslideshow">
    PUT THE SHORTCODE HERE
    </div>

    PUT YOUR TEXT HERE

    CSS:

    .myslideshow {
       float: right;
       width: 45%;
    }

    Specifics may depend on your site/page/theme, so if you need more help, please post a link to it.
