WPUC clashing with WishList login? | WordPress.org

I think I’m having interaction problems with WP User Control, Member, and Wishlist Member.

The site originally had Member creating some new user roles and the Login widget is NOT activated. Then WishList Member was providing the login page via a shortcode in a page.

To create a faster flow in a certain situation, I set up WP User Control’s widget on its own separate page and blocked out everything except the Password Reset function. And the result was great – users were far less confused compared with trying to use WordPress’s built in password recovery.

All was going well…

Until we discovered that the normal member Login page (created with the WishList login shortcode) no longer functioned. It simply refreshed itself without going anywhere.

When I removed WP User Control, everything was fine.

We want to continue to use the WishList login page – and still use the WP User Control password reset. Anyone else run into a clash between WishList and WPUC?

First we’ve heard of this. We have not done any testing with Wishlist Member to date, but it appears based on your post that WPUC and Wishlist Member do not play nicely together. If we are able to look into this in the next release cycle maybe we can determine the issue.

Hi Bill!

For the login page, what I’ve done is create a template that contains a login form so we don’t have to use the WishList shortcode, so now people can login and we still have WPUC turned on.

However, just yesterday we found out that the Lost Password email generated by WishList was missing part of the URL that people are supposed to click and begin the reset process.

And when I deactivated WPUC, sure enough the link in the WishList email was complete again. WPUC was stripping the front of the URL, leaving only this:

?action=rp&key=1Tfr1EyT0KVt0QCEleM2&login=testuser22
