Hello, I have just browsed through the recent articles and have tried everything I read from your replies so far so thought I would present this to you in a new topic.

My WPTouch for my iphone stopped working a couple of days ago, before i did the recent WP upgrade to 3.5.

    My website is http://m.universityblogspot.com

I have tried reinstalling the plugin, altering the landing page, disabling plugins (in particular ones that cache!), have cleared cookies on iphone and a few other things besides.

Is there something evident from your end that I am missing? I am on 1.9.6

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it.

  • We don’t see a live website at the url posted. I see that you have a http://m… url. Are you using WPtouch to create a separate mobile site? If so, please be aware that WPtouch was created to apply a mobile theme to your existing WordPress site (rather than to serve up separate urls).

When your site is up and running, please post the specific issues you’re seeing and we’ll be happy to have a look.

We don’t see WPtouch active at that url either but we do see W3 Total Cache is running. Unless you optimize caching plugins for use with mobile devices, they often will serve cached desktop pages to mobile devices.

You may configure your caching plugin not to cache mobile pages nor to serve cached pages when mobile devices are detected. To do so, enter the user agents found under Advanced Options > Custom User-Agents to the “rejected user agents” areas in your caching plugin’s settings. Remember to clear your plugin, browser, and device caches before retesting.
