There is an WP Photo Album Plus (wppa) update almost every fortnight now. Many times new features making it more complex, so many time bug fixes too.

I wonder where this stops. It is a wunderful plugin and speaking for myself, it has sufficient functionality as it has now. And I guess that counts for 90% of its users too?

As manager of a large computercenter I know that every change can be a threat for continuity. That is why I dislike the frequence of changes of plugins as wppa. I always hope that it does not affect the functions I use. And to be honnest, it never did until now but nevertheless.

Is it selfish to say to the author, it is fine as it is now?

    I wonder where this stops.

This stops when i die. I am 65 years of age now, so you can expect that within 35 years.

If you do no longer want updates, change the version number in the header of the file …/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/wppa.php: change Version: 5.4.20 into Version: 99.99.99 and you will no longer be bothered with improvements and new bugs.

I have made several sites. I make many changes all over the time. Not because of its necessity but because I like to be busy with it. So I think I am very much like the author of this plugin. A wonderful plugin indeed but used (by me) for about 10% of all it can do.

Thanks for your suggestion, I will skip the next versions until v 6.2. has been published. WP itself changes too and I understand that this (any) plugin has then to follow.
