So I have been using the DreamObjects Backup plugin without issue or error until the most recent update. Now I am getting a notice that says DreamObjects Backup does not support Multiuser?

It did not function previously on the network level but I simply configured it for each site on my network individually. Now it has stopped working.

Help? I really love this plugin and it helps me keep things backed up appropriately.

Honestly it never supported Multisite and it didn’t work the way you think it did for it. I was always very clear in the documentation that it wasn’t supported and should not be used on Multisite. All I changed here was enforcing it, because I was tired of having to explain what that meant to people who complained it didn’t work.

I love Multisite. But the way this plugin does a backup, of the whole wp-content/uploads folder and the DB, it wasn’t working right on Multisite ever. Your backups are probably all duplicates, taking up more space than they’re worth.

What were you trying to back up with it? The whole site content and DB?

Actually I never network activated it. I activated it individually per site and configured it individually with a unique bucket each time. It seemed to have been working but you’re probably right I have never gone in and opened a file to check if it was indeed working.

I understand totally though so no worries.

I have options. I still use this with no issues on several other single site installations and it works perfectly there.

It’s certainly on my to-do list, but the re-write to actually get 3.5 out the door was such a monumental hassle, I put this in as a fast stopgap.

What I WANT is for it to be network activated only, and then to backup everything together. Once that works, it’ll do something useful. 🙂
