WPMU – Failure With My Setup! Help Please

    Hello,

    Yes, I’m new to this, so bear with me please.

    I have made it to the WordPress MU Installation Page, but my issue is that, in order to arrive there, I DO NOT have the URL, as an example:
    http://mydomain.com/index.php/
    This domain above, with my actual domain name of course, goes nowhere

    Instead, I can access the WordPress MU Installation Page by going to
    http://mydomain.com/wordpress-mu/

    Something leads me to believe my installation was incorrect. I even tried to change the ‘wordpress-mu’ file to index.php so
    http://mydomain.com/index.php/ would take me to the WordPress Mu Installation Page.”

    So I went forward anyway and set up a test blog, which became even more frustrating. The format of the URL for the test blog ended up like this: http://test.mydomain.com/wordpress-mu

    I definitely don’t want the ‘wordpress-mu’ in there, once again.

    Does anyone have any idea what I am doing completely wrong here. There are probably many things.
