    @seaus

I am using your plugin on my new site that is WPMU (multi-site) based.

Backups are running, and from the files all the sites are being backed up.
What I can not tell is this – are all the databases (?) or sections or whatever is needed for all 5 of my sites to work being backed up

    Thanks

    Hi seaus,

The current version doesn’t support WPMU fully so scheduled backups might not work properly. But if it does work, that’s good. Next version should be compatible (or the one after) – we’ve nearly finished the changes required.

Multi site is actually just one database and WordPress creates separate tables for each site. So yes all the database content is backed up, as long as you didn’t exclude any tables on the settings page.

Online Backup for WordPress Plugin Version 2.2.18

I am using Online Backup with a Multi-site installation now and it seems to be working very well. I just did my first trial restore and it looks like everything came back just fine.

What I would like to see in a multi-site support is an option to hide the backup options from sub-site owners. In other words, as a multi-site administrator, I would like to have backups performed and managed without sub-site owners needing to worry about the details. Also it is important to protect one site owner from backing up another site owner’s content/database.

    Thanks,
    -Dennis

    Hi dennislloydjr,

You can use this version we have:
    https://wordpress.backup-technology.com/wponlinebackup-594-multisite.zip

It should do what you need. If not, let me know and we can tweak it before release.
It’ll be rolled into the next release.

    Thanks,

    Jason

    Hi seaus,

The one I attached is tested and ready for use. No issues known to us.
It’s not merged with our next release though thus why it’s not available as update yet.
So it is safe to use.

By tweaking I mean feedback as until next release is ready this feature can still be adjusted.

    Regards,

    Jason
