WPMS install will not let me assign user roles?

    So i installed WPMS 3.5 on TruthBroadcastNetwork.com and when people are joining the site it is making them users of the whole network where though under network admin i can choose to make them superusers which i do NOT want to do, i cannot assign them various roles on Truth Broadcast Network like author and such.

    Did i mess up the install? It is a subdomain install and i think i did everything right is there a setting somewhere? I need people posting on the site but not having full control over the network.

    You didn’t mess it up, you’re looking in the wrong place 🙂 You can’t assign user roles on the network admin, you have to go to each site and visit /wp-admin/user-new.php for that site.

    You can add users there to the site and assign them roles.

    thx for responding i have seen you are very active helping people.

    are you saying i need to modify the contents of a file manually? if so in what way, is there an article or something on that? when i go to the individual site through the dashboard i am the only person there, there are users on the network admin but not the individual site. is there a plugin or something that will make their signing up put them as users for the individual site or some way to automate this process?

    ok i may have resolved the issue using the following plugin it lets me assign users to sites through the dashboard but you still have to do them one by one…
