WPML not working

I have the lattest version of WPML installed and I am trying to translate all strings into Spanish, however, WPML is not finding any stings, none 🙁

Is there anything I need to set up with GD?

You should translate using the po file, even if using wpml.

Do you have instructions on how to translate using the PO file? I have translated 3 websites using string translations but this is the first time I hear about the PO file

I cannot find the PO file. Is it inside the “geodirectory” folder? Where?

please read carefully the instructions provided. It’s written in there:

2. Open the .po file for GD core in poedit, this is located in the core plugin language folder geodirectory/geodirectory-languages/geodirectory-en_US.po

it should be fixed now, there is only the inconcenience of https without certificate. But you can add the security exception for now, we will fix that probably tomorrow.

I followed the instructions provided in your links

I translated “almost” the entire .po file and I saved it as

geodirectory-es_AR.po

I uploaded it to folder geodirectory/geodirectory-languages/

and I changed the default language of the site to Spanish but it doesnt work 🙁

Hi,

after saving the po file, a mo file is generated. That is the file to be used.

The folder should be:

/wp-content/languages/geodirectory/geodirectory-es_AR.mo

Hello

I do not have the folder wp-content/languages/geodirectory

I only have wp-content/languages/plugins or wp-content/languages/themes

That is normal, you need to create them via FTP.

I created the folder, I added the file and I changed the default language to Spanish but Geodirectory is still in English

The mo file seem to be very small in size…
