    Hi

When creating a specific menu for mobile we face the issue of not being able to translate it with WPML.

I think the issue is more related to OceanWP than WPML since OceanWP assigns one menu for mobile (not dependeding of the language).

    Example of basic setup:

1 menu “Mobile” for English version.
1 menu “mobile-ES” for the spanish version.

You assign the position “Mobile (optional)” and here is where the problem comes. You can’t asign both mobile menu items to mobile position.
You have to choose either the spanish one or the english one as the position for mobile. Therefore in mobile version of the site only one language is shown for both.

    Any ideas?
    Regards

    Hello,

We will try to replicate it to troubleshoot the issue. I think we also need to assign the menu location for WPML.

Thanks Amit, I poste in WPML also and they replied:

“I suspect that this option is within the admin texts of the theme and might be saving the ID of the menu, so we will need to find this admin text and ‘translate’ it with the ID of the menu in the secondary language.

Please visit this link where you will find the steps to follow in order to translate admin texts and try to find the option fot the mobile menu: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/translating-options-coming-from-themes-and-plugins/”

So it sounds like a workaround but I believe then that the issue comes from OceanWP missing the menu ID then no?

    Regards
