WPML duplicate sync’ed post notificates twice

Hi,

I’m using notifications to notify editors when a custom post type is in pending status.
The post is saved by an acf_form (advanced custom fields frontend form) and, in the acf/save_post hook I change the status of the post based on a custom acf field.
After that, I duplicate (programmatically) the post in order to sync the post to its translation.

The issue: I receive two notifications each time. Is there a better way to achive my aim? Is there any issue related to translated duplicated post?
