• When using RTE together with WPML (for multilanguage site) the translation part doesn’t have a rich text editor. Example: my default language is English, second language Dutch. When creating the post (in English) RTE shows up just fine, but when translating the post (to Dutch) I get the default text box, but smaller than usual.

The people from WPML are very responsive and want to help you make the plugin compatible: http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/

    Benefits for you:
    – free WPML account (and thus the software for free)
    – Advertising to a huge user base when certified

Hope you will consider doing this, really like this plugin.

I have tested this with WPML and had their developers go over it as part of the program, and can’t replicate the behaviour you are reporting. The rich text editor does appear on the chinese translation parts of the dual language site I am developing with WPML. One possible cause for the behaviour you describe is that the RTE plugin is not enabled for a specific post type, but I don’t think WPML uses post types for translations…
