WPML and mega menu image widget

    Hello,

    I’m setting up a multilingual website. I have a mega menu with an image widget. The image contains a text.
    I have translated the menu from Italian to English. However, I’m not able to translate the image, which is different for the English website.

    I have WPML media translation set up correctly and the media is translated.

    No matter what I do, the English mega menu continues to show the Italian version.

    What am I missing?

    Hi,

    Please follow the guide here:

    https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/wpml-setup/

    You should end up with 2 menus, one for English and one for Italian.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply. I followed the guide and now I have two menus synced.

    However, in the Italian one (main language) I have an image that should be different in the English version of the menu.

    Max Mega Menu seems to keep using the media from the default language, even though it is correctly translated with WPML Media Translation.

    What can I do?

    Ok, in the Italian version you are using a Media Widget to output that image.

    In the English version you are using a Text Widget to output that image, so you would need to edit that text widget to reference the English image instead of the Italian one.

    I have replaced the Text Widget with an Image Widget on the English version and it worked.
