Hi, just to let you know. We noticed that your plugin warned us about a broken link.

Our website is in english and spanish. The warning happened on the spanish version of the page but for the same page in english (which has a different URL) there was no warning.

Wondering if you ever had a report from other users using WPML as their translation system,

We use language prefix in URLS so I believe they are completely separated and your plugin should warn about both broken links no?

    Regards

    Hi @manuxx34

    I hope you’re well!

Theoretically speaking, if a given URL is available/working/can be accessed – it shouldn’t be reported as broken. I checked our internal bug reporting and don’t see any open issues related to WPML but let me ask you some questions, if you don’t mind:

    1) what exactly is plugin reporting regarding said link – what’s the status for that link and what it says in “Log” column after you click on “Details” right below status?

    2) is there any option on site enabled to automatically redirect to language versions based on browser language (WPML -> Languages -> [Browser language redirect] section)?

    3) would you mind sharing some example working/not working links?

That might help us understand what/why is happening.

    Best regards,
    Adam
