    Hey,

I’m troubleshooting an issue – although WP Mail SMTP is working correctly I’m getting extremely frequent (4+ times per minute) Apache errors from the plugin requesting lookups from *prefix*wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta.

I’ve checked my db and the table doesn’t exist – I’ve been unable to generate it by completely removing the plugin and reinstalling, and I’m unable to update the migration field in wp-admin/options.php because the page instantly says “the link you followed has expired” when submitted. Please help!

    Missing table: wp_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta

WP Mail SMTP is using custom database tables for some of its features. In order to work properly, the custom tables should be created, and it seems they are missing. Please try to re-install the WP Mail SMTP plugin. If this issue persists, please contact our support.

I removed and re-installed the plugin. The table is still not there in the DB.

    Hi @mattyblob and @aglyons,

when uninstalling the plugin, did you also enable the “Uninstall WP Mail SMTP” checkbox in the “Misc” plugin settings tab?

If this is enabled and you uninstall the plugin, all the plugin’s settings will be removed from the database. Then you can try to install the plugin again and see if the tasks meta DB table will be created successfully.

Note: You’ll have to re-configure the plugin from the beginning since all the plugin settings will be deleted.

If the tasks meta DB table is not created, please contact your hosting support and ask them why the table was not created. They should see the error message that caused it in their error logs.

Let me know how it goes.

    Take care!

Thanks for your help Gregor, it was an issue with permissions granted by my host. Now resolved 🙂

    Hi @mattyblob,

    that’s great!

Could you please let us know what the actual issue was (more details if possible)? It might help others with the same issue 🙂

Thank you and have a nice day!
