 * I have a wpform that I wanted to add a captcha to for reducing spam.
 * I’ve registered and got the Google keys. They are entered into the Settings part
   of the plugin.
 * When I go to Settings > “Enable Google reCAPTCHA” in the form I can tick the
   box (which I assume is the step before being allowed to drag the field into the
   form). However, when I try to save the form I get a message reading
    “Heads up!
   Something went wrong while saving the form. Please reload the page and try again.
   Please contact the plugin support team if this behavior persists.”
 * The same message pops up if I try to make any other changes, too.
 * I’ve disabled all other plugins and upgrades wpforms as well as WordPress to
   the latest versions.
 * And to submit a support ticket via the wpforms site they want me to buy a pro
   license.
 * Does anyone have an idea of what might be wrong?
    Is there a different, easier
   to use plugin?

 * Hi [@kiwidavec](https://wordpress.org/support/users/kiwidavec/),
 * Thanks for writing in and we’re sorry to hear about the issue you’re getting.
 * It is most likely that there is a JavaScript error in the backend of your site
   which is causing the issue with your form settings from saving. When you get
   the chance, could you please try using the steps in WPBeginner’s detailed guide
   on [troubleshooting WordPress](https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/beginners-guide-to-troubleshooting-wordpress-errors-step-by-step/)
   to see if it helps resolve the issue?

 * Thanks, Jade.
    You prompted me to look at the inspector console – something I
   should have done to start with. Turns out the issue was a Mixed Content error.
   Adding the SSL Insecure Content Fixer plugin worked.
