WP Clone seems to work great for the most part, but I’ve found that it keeps breaking the media library somehow on the cloned site. I use plugins to create forms that when when submitted, email a PDF of the info to an email address. Whenever I clone the site, the images no longer come through on the PDF – but they are uploaded to the media library. When I uninstall and reinstall WP, then the images on PDFs work again. Any ideas on what I can do to fix what’s breaking without a reinstall? Thanks for any info you have on this.

If it’s of any need/interest, I’m using the Formidable Forms add-on to create the web forms and Formidable PRO2PDF to generate the PDF output.

    Thank you!
    B.

  • in the site where you made the backup, go to settings > media, do you see a custom uploads path?

Hi There – Oh, I see it, the directory there doesn’t change upon clone….I updated and it’s all fixed.

    Thanks!

yeah, a custom uploads path will be cloned along with the rest. but you’ll see the discrepancy in wpclone’s system info box; root directory and backup directory will have different paths.
