Thanks for trying it. The only change I had made was the one I mentioned.
It’s odd in that it works fine without the force fbml mode (in https) or with the fbml mode (in http).
Not sure what’s different at that point – but it seems like somehow the app isn’t getting the right user data.
Sorry, but this one will take more time to investigate.
Can you test your SSL cert here: https://www.ssllabs.com/index.html (see the ‘test your ssl server’ at the bottom.
Based on this response: https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/567/
(especially the bit about FBML applications)
Just FYI, I’ve started a new thread for this topic: Invite Friends Link Fails under SSL
To separate it from this thread’s title about posts not being published – I will resolve this one
@johneckman The SSL certificate gets an A (87) so how to find if its correct for FBML?
John,
New to your plug-in. I would like to use with Momonomics.com which is a content site for Vitacost.com.
I have set up an app and believe I did everything correct.
When I go to check permissions I get this
405 – HTTP verb used to access this page is not allowed.
The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) was used to attempt access.
Not sure what to do from here.
Can you please help?
Thanks,
Judd
Hmm, that’s a new one. Is that error coming from Facebook, or from the iFrame containing your WordPress content?
What does the url of your permissions page look like?
Can you load the canvas page of your application successfully? (the apps.facebook.com/openparenthesis/ type url?)
Most likely this is a misconfiguration either on your server (are you running WordPress on IIS?) or of the URLs configured in the Facebook App settings
So you’ve said that http://www.momonomics.com/momonomicsblogapp/ is the canvas app for your application, but I can’t load that page:
http://www.momonomics.com/momonomicsblogapp/
Where is your wordpress install? that should be your canvas page url
Based on what you have for your tab, I would guess that http://www.momonomics.com/ is what your canvas page should be in your ss2.png
John,
Do you know what these two errors mean in debug mode?
og:title is missing. The og:title meta tag is necessary for Facebook to render a News Feed story that generates a high clickthrough rate.
Inferred Property: The ‘og:title’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Tiny og:image: All the images referenced by og:image must be at least 200px in both dimensions. Please check all the images with tag og:image in the given url and ensure that it meets the minimum specification.
One more thing,
http://apps.facebook.com/momonomicsblog/
Seems to be looking good. I checked your documentation. I would like to add as a tab to my Facebook page. Not sure how to go about that.
Thanks,
Judd
Ok, so created a page installed it to the Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Momonomics/179411588827283?ref=ts
I can see it but it goes to a page cannot be displayed. I suspect that would be because I do not have an SSL certificate installed.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Judd
Hmmm, I believe it was a caching issue. They now can see it. Yaaa!
John,
On the wall postings. The images do not show on the main wall, but do show on the read more page in Facebook. Can they show on both?
Thanks,
Judd
