wpApiSettings is not defined

    I have just installed the plugin but when I am trying to create the Quiz but it is giving error in the console and the screen loader is loading.

    wpApiSettings is not defined error is showing in the console in the qsm-admin-question.js?ver=7.1.3:41.

    Uncaught ReferenceError: wpApiSettings is not defined in qsm-admin-question.js?ver=7.1.3:41.

    I have also tried to install previous versions but they are also not working.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    I am using WordPress 4.8.14 version.

    Hello Tech Support,

    Can you please tell me that, the problem can cause due to WordPress old version.

    I also installed the fresh version of WordPress 4.8.14 and in that also it is not working.

    So, Can you please help me with that.

    If, you want to know the problem, just install the fresh version WordPress 4.8.14 and try to create Quiz questions.

    Like I am not able to create the Quiz page because it is not loading.

    Hi @rahul2936,

    I just tested version 7.1.3 and version 6.4.12 of QSM with WordPress 4.8.14 version and it is not working properly on my staging too.

    As QSM is properly working on the latest WordPress version, do you want to continue it with version 4.8.14 of WordPress or the latest version of the WordPress.

    If you wish to continue it with the previous version. Then I will have to talk to the development team regarding this issue.

    Yes, it will be better if you can talk on the development team and it will be good for those who are working on the WordPress 4.8.14 version if they get the solution.

    Hi Rahul,

    It is stated that QSM requires WordPress 4.9 or higher.

    It is not possible for us to make our software compatible with all WordPress versions.

    Even WordPress itself requires certain versions of third party software to work ( https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/ )

    Hello,

    Thank you for the support.

    I got the solution and anyone who is using WordPress 4.8 version and want to use the plugin and don’t want to upgrade the WordPress.

    The solution is that, just replace the WordPress 4.8 wp-admin and wp-includes files with WordPress 4.9 files.

    It wont affect the website and your problem will be solved.
