 * I have a wordpress running website with thousands of pages from more thn a year
   but now i just realize that there is wp_user_level and some other fields missing
   in user_meta table of my wordpress database for admin and even for all the users
   there is no wp_user_level i just realize it when i was using some plugin capable
   with user levels.
 * So what i want to know is that is there a way to fix or i have to do it manually
   by adding this field in mysql?
 * Thanks in advance

 * Hi, wp_user_level is a row entry in the user_meta table, not its own field. You
   won’t see it in the table structure but as a meta_key that’s data in the table.
   From the sounds of it there is nothing you need to fix.

 * But i have it in all my other wordpress installations and some plugins which
   make use of it are working perfectly there but on this site they don’t work because
   this is missing.
 * I am just curious how it was added to those installations databases? is it was
   added by WP itself or some Plugin.
 * Thanks for your reply…

 * There used to be a user_level field in older versions of wordpress. Version 2.5
   and later no longer use this field.
 * If you’re still using old installations of wordpress, you might want to think
   about [upgrading wordpress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress).

 * Well i am using the latest 2.8.4 version but i guess those plugins were quite
   old so they depends on this old method of checking user role to perform actions
   now i know why this was happening.
 * Thanks for all your support bro
