Wp_register & wp_loginout don’t change?

    As mentioned in the title I don’t seem to get them working properly. When I log in as admin there is no problem and it will show ‘Site Admin’ & ‘Log Out’ in the sidebar. But as soon as I log in as a standard user it just keeps showing ‘Register’ & ‘Login’.
    Does anyone know how to solve this?

    I just started using it and I’ve got the latest version of WP and the default theme.

    p.s. although the info in the sidebar doesnt change I do seem to be logged in, because im able to add comments and I’m able to log out in the comment screen.

    So, you’re saying that when you’re logged in as a standard user, the word “Login” in your sidebar doesn’t change to “Logout”? Do you refresh the page? Also, when you are signed in as a standard user, what permission level are you at?

    I’ve got the same problem. Everything works fine when the user is in the author group (so level 1+) but, for Level 0 users the Register and Login links don’t change to Site Admin (which should really be ‘Profile’ for all but the admin) and Logoff.

    Is this a known issue? Or are we doing something wrong? Just fyi, I need to keep the level at 0, but do want to see those links change.
