$wp_query – Silencing Relevanssi

    Hi

    My directory site is returning the least relevant results first – as in the example link supplied:

    I only need the directory places indexed, not blogs etc. taxonomy post_type=place – but this is not listed in the indexing options

    My search.php link below – if anyone can help – its a directory site so not very good it does this!! lol

    If you only want Relevanssi to index places, only choose the “place” post type in the indexing settings.

    Anyway, I don’t think what you’re seeing there is a Relevanssi search at all. If it is, it’s likely something is changing the sorting order of results. Check the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search): does that find something?

    Hi Mikko

    Thanks for getting back to me, I was unable to get the plugin to work – probably due to custom search I have with my theme. who knows. If you have any ideas I will galdy buy the premium subscription if I can get it to work.

    If the theme is doing custom things with search, then it’s probably hopelessly incompatible.
