# wp_posts Table Stuck In Use

 * For some reason, once or twice a week, my wp_posts table keeps getting stuck “
   In Use.” I’m not sure why this keeps happening. The same thing happens, but with
   less frequency, with the wp_usermeta table. If I could quickly and easily repair
   the table, it would help, but my host is constantly timing out the operation.
   Is there a way to make this process less painful or perhaps to stop it from happening
   at all?

 * It sounds like your host has not given enough resources to the MySQL server. 
   You should contact their tech support. It might also help if you optimize those
   tables via PHPMYADMIN.

 * Thanks. I’m trying the optimize thing, but this is what it says on my cPanel:
 * MySQL® Disk Usage
    2.4 GB / 11.18 GB (21.46%)
 * So, I seem to have a lot of MySQL disk usage. Are you talking about something
   else? Where would I see how much they give?

 * That’s how much disk space it’s using, not the resources given to it by your 
   host.
