“wp_pageviews” DB Table – What is it?

  • Hi,

I originally thought this had something to do with Lester Chan’s WP-Postviews plugin. I asked him and he said his plugin does not create any tables in the db or anything to do with this table.

So now I have this table with 730,637 records and over 20MBs.

    WordPress Version – WordPress 2.7
PHP And MYSQL Version – phpMyAdmin – 2.11.9.5

Anyone know what this table is for? I’ve had a lot of recent problems like stuff going missing since I started to notice this table appear.

    Thanks!

  • If you get no responses, consider using http://wingrep.com and looking for pageviews in your wp-content folder (note: may have to download your wp-content folder to your local machine)
